I have a Brother HL-3170CDW color laser printer. I recently got toner low messages and found a trick to reset the meter since there is still a bunch of toner left unused.
My question is, what happens when I finally do completely run out of toner? I certainly don't want to damage my unit in an attempt to save a few bucks on toner, but if it's just a matter of waiting until it no longer prints and then swapping out the cartridge, that would be ideal!
