My view is this:

If it's not throttling, why worry about the heat? If it's not shutting down due to the heat, why worry? Then again, if I was going to build a gaming rig, I would get a water-cooled system anyway.
 
Great! So, you still be using outdated slow CPU in 9 years.. killing a CPU is a good way toward upgrading to something new...

HA HA! True, I often find myself hoping some of my older equipment dies so I can justify the upgrade price to my wife :lol:
 
I'm sure you noticed that when you want something to fail, it wont. But have something that absolutly don't want to fail make it fail. So, just hope that your old stuff wont die..
But usually old stuff don't want to die ..only newer one.

Nw, you can make it fail. But you'll always have the truth to hide .. You cannot live with that .. Woman can fake an orgasm, but we man cannot fake an accident to our computer ..

So what..

Ask her what is better, upgrading the computer to younger and better one or upgrading the wife to younger and better one ...
