Would a top mounted radiator have just as good Airflow in a more open design top part of the case.

DB 900 Pro has ~6cm clearance between ceiling and motherboard edge, I'd use invert orientation (tray on left glass panel on right) so now rear fan becomes intake fan, the motherboard bottom become top so I doubt will have nudging issue, after that you can use thick rad such as alphacool monsta as exhaust and still retaining front intake fans.
