The dark colours on my monitor don't seem to blend together properly?

On the photo I attached if you look at the colours at the top the dark blues they don’t seem to blend properly they are like blocky. I’m asking why this could be?

that is called color banding

Common with digital technology. The better the monitor the less color banding. The 8 bit usually can look blotchy.

okay thank you i was just curious because my £50 second monitor doesn’t do it at all neither did my old one but this one does and i have it on 8bit +FRC so 10 bit
