Dark Rock 3 Pro installation trouble.

I'm having some trouble with a Dark Rock 3 Pro installation. There are screw and nut connections that go into the retention bars, the screws on the motherboard backplate then screw into those nuts to pull the cooler tight against the CPU, however my backplate screws are not pulling the cooler tight and rather just spinning. This is hard to picture if you are not familiar with the cooler. I now fear I won't be able to get the cooler off again due to nuts stuck "spinning"

I did, I determined that I put the sleeve and hexagonal nut into the retention bar back to front (first highlighted pic that shows the socket numbers.)

When the cooler is upside down the sleeve goes in to the retention bar from the top and hexagonal nut tightens from underneath, I had that back to front. There is an indentation in the retention bar that prevents the sleeve from slipping while tightening the hexagonal nut. Should have payed more attention to the manual!
