I don't know if the trident z will fit, it's fairly tall ram. The gskill ripjaws x ddr4 should fit fine, it's the same height as their previous ripjaws x and it barely fits with the dark rock pro 3 (40mm tall I believe). The trident z is 44mm tall. The old trident x ddr3 had an option to remove the tall cooling fin but the newer ones don't.

If choosing the trident ram for looks I'm not sure it matters much. The drp3 cooler with the front fan on it hangs over all 4 ram slots, you really have to crane your head around to even see the side of the ram furthest from the cpu even with a case like the enthoo pro with a large window. My case, cpu cooler and motherboard are all black so you'd think the blue color of my ram would stick out and...

On the other hand if you already have the trident z ram it might be worth considering a different cooler. Large air coolers aren't easy to fit with ram that have tall heat spreaders, the drp3 has a bit easier clearance than the noctua nh-d14 since it uses a 135mm fan up front instead of a 140mm fan. The front fan on both coolers can be adjusted up (away from the ram) a few mm if your case is wide enough but the bottom of the cooling fins are only so tall.

Unmatched Compatibility
Zero RAM Interference

Focusing on providing the widest range of compatibility, the R1 utilizes an asymmetric slanted heatpipe layout to move the front heatsink fin stack further away from the RAM zone. Also, fitted with a 13mm thin XT140 the CRYORIG R1 offers optimal compatibility for RAM with tall heat spreaders on both Intel (115X/1366/775) and AMD platforms.
