Dark spots on new monitor.

I ordered an ASUS VE247H 25 inches I think.

I connected to my PC and turned the monitor on, it worked perfectly. BUT, a few minutes in, it started flashing and gave me this dark spot on the right side of the screen, its not completely dark I can see through it, but I feel a new pet peeve growing..

I noticed when I shake my monitor it sometimes goes away, then later it starts flashing again..
and same dark spot comes back..
Is there a way to rid of this dark spot?
I really don't want to go through the hassle of sending it back

RMA it, its defective.

It likely got damaged in transit. I don't think you can fix it, and you probably shouldn't. The only 'fix' is sending it back. Sorry.:/

Yes definitely agree don't try to fix it yourself, you might void the warranty.
