I have an ASUS gaming laptop Model P8F. It worked great for a few months thenfell over. The problem seems to be the power supply. It wi;ll just not power up on many occassions. The yellow power light comes on for a few seconds you can fell it trying to power up then it turns itself off. Sometimes you get a start and then the machine works fine without problems. I have had battery discharged-worked a couple of times after this) the thru internet got suggestion to take out battery pack, hold power button on for at least 45 seconds then either reattach battery or mains power supply. THis has also worked just a couple of times. Notable is if you use battery or mains power, you can only try to power up once. Then you must remove power source and reconnect either battery or mains and hold your breath and try again. The success rate is about 1 in 50.
Any advice would be appreciated.

how about the light on your powerbrick,,,is it on
