Maybe the reason it doesn’t occur to a lot of people is because so many of the best mechanical keyboard are decked out for gaming

For me there is only one reason: I want a mechanical version of my Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic Desktop (preferably with bigger wrist pad and standard function keys — these are its only significant flaws, apart from poor quality control). Until then — thanks, but no, thanks.
