After typing a document in word, I have to cut and paste the text it into a medical records site. However, when I do the paste, it puts it in there twice. It will also do the same thing in a word document, place duplicate text.
I went through a list of reasons I thought could be happening, not thinking it was the keyboard's fault at all, and tried to find solutions if: 1) Because I had Word 2010, which the computer prompted me to update to 2016 as a subscription, which I refuse to do; 2) problem with the medical records website itself (which didn't seem reasonable since text would duplicate in the same word document; 3) Word clipboard problem; 4) the computer itself; 5) operating system itself; and a couple of other things I can't even remember now.
In all the steps taken to try resolve the problem, I've come to the conclusion it has to be the daskeyboard. I switched to a keyboard known to work perfectly (just a regular Dell) (I work with several computers/accounts), and tried the daskeyboard on 3 other computers and was able to replicate the same problem. One last telling thing is is that I just got a brand new out of the box laptop and installed Office 2016 with Word 2016 and the problem continues.
I LOVE this keyboard otherwise, having cut my teeth on a Selectric typewriter it has that satisfying click and resistance and I can definitely type faster. Any suggestions on how to fix the keyboard? I can't afford a new one right now. Thanks so much. (P.S. the keyboard is about 5 months old and the problem started about 3 months ago, and I think it is the Model S Ultimate (I couldn't find the paperwork to verify but looked at pictures on the internet).
