Date appearing incorrectly Windows 2000 Server

Please could someone tell me why the date in Explorer is displaying with
mm in place of the month?
For example, when I set the view to 'Details' in Explorer, a file
created today would have the following:
'16/mm/04 13:51'
The correct date and time is set on the server and if I get the
properties for the file, it will show the month.

I have done a search on google etc. but cannot turn anything up.

Any help appreciated.

I suspect the month field has single quotes around it. Check Control
Panel/Regional and Language Options/Customize.../Date/Short date format:
or the registry at HKCU\Control Panel\International\sShortDate .

I checked the 'Regional Options' control panel and the format was
dd/mm/yy. I used the drop down and chose dd/MM/yy which immediately
solved the problem. Just to see how it might have happened, I tried
putting dd/mm/yy back in manually and it automatically corrected the mm
to MM.
It seems the hosting company have made a manual tweak in the registry
and it now exists in the ghost image they are deploying to their servers?
