Dayz wont recognise one of my hotkey changes

Hi guys im using the razer blackwidow ultimate im left handed so this is how i would play

but for some reason the \ key i use to move right just doesnt work in dayz and ive tried evrything i know..

ive tried changing the hotkey in razer synaps to another key but when i load the game it still recognises it as \ and it just doesnt work

this only happens in dayz in other games it recognises whatever i set it too

I also downloaded registry editting keybinding programs and although it changes the key elsewhere dayz still reads that key as its default and doesnt work, not really sure what else to do

is it because my layout is unusual because i bought it in cyprus?

in other words i cant overwrite the \ key on this greek/US keyboard and the game wont let me use \ as an ingame command

turns out im using the ISO and JIS style layout keyboard will this be causing problems?
