Anyone know how dB ratings combine? I know it's a log scale. If I get 2 30 dB fans, do I just add the 2 to get the total dB? Or is it more complex (due to sound interference, etc)?

thx

I don't know the science of it, but I do know that 3 x 20Db fans do not equal 60Db.

Three people speaking doesn't = one person shouting. The sound disapates.

Simple example . Put 2 radios on at number 5 volume. Listen.
Turn them off. Put one radio at twise the previous volume (not necessarily 10 on the knob). Well what the end result will be, is it will sound louder for the single radio. Garantied.
