Actually, I in this case, I think he is talking about db in reference to 'Boost' or 'Cut' for specific frequencies, in relation to using an equalizer. With 0db being flat. I don't know if the 'powerful' preset will actually show you the eq's settings, but there is no reason you cant experiment, as you can't really hurt anything (as long as you don't go too heavy in the lower (bass, the left side of the eq) region. to much boost here could damage your speakers or headphones if they aren't able to handle it). Start with about 2-3db boost in the low frequency range first. See what that does for you, and adjust from there. Then you could add more sparkle to your high frequencies adding the same 2-3db to the sliders on the right side of the eq. This will get you close to what realtek considers a 'powerful' sound.
