DBAN not working on bootable USB

Hello!

I have sold my laptop and would now like to wipe the HDD. I have used "Rufus" and "Universal USB Installer" to create a bootable USB DBAN but i am having trouble getting DBAN to boot. I have tried 2 different USBs - neither works. I have tried booting my linux from USB and that works too.

Any idea what could be going wrong? Are there any alternative programs you could recomend to wipe the computer? I then plan to reinstall the OS

Thanks for the advice! I actually just got DBAN working. I had overlooked the "activate Legacy Support" in a few other posts, thinking I already had that setting activated. "Launch CSM" did the trick.

Thanks for the reply and the DBAN alternatives list though!!
