Hey Everyone,
My computer was acting funny so I decided to just do a reformat. Fast forward a few weeks later the issues still persisted. I decided to just wipe my SDD & HDD and do a fresh install of windows 7 from there. I unfortunately made the mistake of using DBAN on not only my HDD, but my SSD as well. It wasn't until after I started the DBAN wipe that I realized it wasn't meant to be used on a SSD. After 16 hours of waiting for the DBAN program to complete I installed windows 7 onto the SSD w/o issues. Now I'm concerned that I may of slowed down my SSD's read/write speeds. OCZ's website states that my 240gb Agility 3 should have these speeds:

240-256GB Max Performance
Max Read: up to 525MB/s
Max Write: up to 500MB/s
Random Write 4KB: 45,000 IOPS
Maximum 4K Random Write: 85,000 IOPS

After running a benchmark here are my results:

That's more than HALF of what is advertised.

My Questions now are:

Did I cause damage to my SSD by running DBAN?
Will secure erasing my SSD somehow increase my read/write speeds?
Is there any other options in relations to increasing these speeds?

Solution
The Agility 3's advertised speeds of up to 525MB/s Read and 500MB/s Write are with ATTO benchmark software, which uses highly compressible data to test Read/Write speeds.

Advertised speeds with AS-SSD are up to 190MB/s Read and 210MB/s Write. AS-SSD uses highly incompressible data to test Read/Write speeds.

You are correct in that you shouldn't use DBAN to wipe a SSD.
Use Secure Erase to restore any SSD to fresh-out-of-the-box condition.

Solution

Thank You for the quick response. Will secure erase repair any damage DBAN could of done my ssd? By damage I mean the wear done by the repeated write cycles of DBAN.

Its plugged into a 6gb/s Sata 3 port

No, a Secure Erase won't restore whatever P/E (Program/Erase) cycles that were used by DBAN, but it will restore Read/Write performance.

Judging by your benchmark results it doesn't seem like your SSD suffered a Read/Write performance hit.

Thank you for your help!
