Question DC Power Supply Tip Polarity

I need to determine the correct configuration for a power supply for an external HDD. The enclosure has a sticker which says '12V 2A' - straight forward enough - but it doesn't have the usual tip polarity diagram. beside the 12V 2A there is a solid line above a dashed line of the same length. Is this a clue as to tip polarity? Thanks

No, that simply denotes Direct Current (DC).

As far as I'm aware, there is only one universal symbol which denotes centre-pin polarity, as here:

I'm pretty certain that HDD enclosures are centre-pin positive, but that's an educated guess.
