When Nehalem comes out... and brings support for Tri-Channel... that means we'll see kits of 3, 6, and 12 GBs of ram? Right? So when Nehalem comes out... will there actually be 3, 6, or 12 GB sets of ram... or will you have to buy a 2 GB kit and then a 1 GB kit... and hope tri-channel works?

I'm hoping ddr3 will actually have some actual benefit when nehalem comes out

I "THINK" it still works in pairs.
But you will be able to have 3 banks instead of 2.

The one picture I saw used 2 DDR3 Sticks and not three.
However, I'm far from certain.

I guess we will see.

well that would still make it either single channel, or dual channel mode if it had a pair, not tri
