DDR SDRAM PC2300

Upgrading RAM on a Dell Optiplex GX260. Have one stick of ddr sdram,256 MB pc2300(142 MHz). The only RAM I can find is ddr sdram pc2100,pc3200,pc2700. Are these compatible with pc2300,say one stick of 512 MB or 1GB of this other type?

You maybe can find it in ebay, because it is the very old RAM. If you want to upgrade the RAM then buy the 2x 1GB DDR pc2700 or pc3200 whatever is cheaper.

cin19,I apologize for the delay in replying,I just saw your message. And yes, it confirms my recent research. I went to www.crucial.com site and ran their memory advisor and they recommended 1GB of pc3200 for my particular system. I'll also will check on the newegg link. Thank you so much for your expertise knowledge.
