I just built my first pc and I think I am having some issues. I have asus mobo m4a78-e with amd 2.8 7850 kuma processor and g skill 2x2 1066 memory. Memory is in slots a1 and b1 and the bios is at auto. When using cpu-z it show my memory is running at 400 mhz. If I change the Bios to manual and set it to 1066 cpu-z says it is running at 533mhz. Is this right. Why is it not running at 1066? The mobo supports it.Do I need a different cpu? I would be happy if it would run at 800mhz, but I cant even get that. Maybe im just an idiot i dont konw. I just want it to run what it is supposed to with out causing issues or overheating. If i just switch to ddr2 800 will it show up and work as 800mhz. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

As MaDMagik wrote :

DDR = Double Data Rate

533mhz = DDR2 1066
