DDR2 1066 with DDR2 800 in same Mobo?

I have a GA-EP35-DS3L and 2x1gb ocz ddr2 1066 ram. I know this might be a dumb question. Can I mix different brands of ddr2 1066 ram if the ocz? More importantly, can I mix the ddr2 1066 with a pair of ddr2 800 ram from a different brand like corsair? Please don't just say yes or no but instead explain.

I was not sure whether or not if I should have posted this in the mobo subsection.

You can, but all the ram will run at 800mhz. Try to make sure the voltage and timings are the same on both when you buy the second set.

I know I could just by the same exact ram from newegg but I am trying to pay a less than $50 for 2gb of ram that is why I was thinking of ddr2 800. The ddr2 800 only seem to go up to 2.1 and the cas latency is 4. Is this a problem?

This seems to be an option since it has same speeds and is ddr2 1066

It is a different model. Comes to around $36 after rebate. Anyone have any idea about OCZ rebates?

It doesnt have to be the exact ram. Just make sure its same speed and on your motherboards list of compatable ram.

OCZ is good, I have it in my system now.

It doesn't matter to me if the speed drops down to ddr2 800 level. It is either this or sell the existing ram and get 2x2gb ddr2 800 ram. I know which one is the better choice and which one is the cheaper choice. The answer is ddr2 800. But I am somewhat lazy and would prefer to just buy than sell. If I can get the price down to about $37 for 2x1gb ddr2 that would work with my system then I am happy. The lowest I intend to go is ddr2 800 level.

i have 4 gigs 2 2 gig sticks of ddr2pc8500 1066 and i cant get it to run at 1066 with my msi k9a2 and my phenom x4 9850 and the ram is corsair dominator if anyone has gotten there set up to run at 1066 can u please email me the settings
