DDR2 800 Motherboard compatibility questions

Building my first custom machine and have a newbie question....

I am not sure how to ensure that my RAM will be compatible with my motherboard.

I purchased 2GB of Corsair DDR2 800 memory (Model TWIN2X2048-6400).

The Corsair website says the RAM runs at 1.9v.

I was planning to buy an intel P965 motherboard, but the intel website says it only supports DDR2 800 at 1.8v. I have not purchased the motherboard yet.

I have a C2D 6300 for my CPU, not sure that matters though.

Two questions:
1. Is this a valid problem or have I just gotten bad information?
2. If a problem, what should I do about?
3. Any suggestions on a motherboard if the intel doesn't make sense?

Check the motherboard manufacturers website for ram compatibility. There are some motherboards that wont work with some types of ram.

I would not suggest that MOBO with the memory you have. The MOBO does not allow adjustment of the memory voltage which may be needed to get the memory stable at the rated speeds. I would suggest a board that allows OCing options if you want to use the memory up to its rated spex.
