ddr2 and ddr3 question

Just got new asus A 88XM - plus motherboard and some DDR3 memory. Checking my old graphics card Nvidia 8600GT 512Mb DDR2. Will the DDR2 and DDR3 work together/

What memory is on the card doesn't make a difference.

It'll work fine. Though the integrated graphics may actually be faster.

The graphics ram is isolated from and different than your system ram. The graphics card should work no problems.
