My old pc was DDR2 specs are given below:

■ Intel (R) Core 2 Duo E8500 3.16GHz
■ Intel DG41RQ Motherboard
■ 2GB DDR2 RAM
■ 500GB HDD

I upgraded my old pc to DDR3 changed my whole CPU ( including hardisc) Current specs:

■ Intel (R) Pentium (R) G2030 3GHz
■ Asus H61M-CS Motherboard
■ 4GB DDR3 RAM
■ 500GB HDD

As it is brand new I tried to play games like COD MW3, GTA IV etc.. I already played this games on my old DDR2 PC in low settings but my new one can't play this games. It even cant run smoothly as my old pc, the graphics is so poor especially GTA IV. Is DDR2 Is better than DDR3 for gaming?? Now I need to buy a graphics card!!

Solution
Are you sure you are playing at the same resolution and same detail settings? You new pc should be noticeably better.

If you want to play modern games you should be considering a gpu of at least a GTX 750 but ideally a 960.
yes, the DDR 3 memory is indeed a better memory.
and i think upgrading your memory from DDR2 to DDR3 is a good option.
I think you should upgrading your ram to 8gb, because a lot of games now requires 8gb for recomended settings.

But why is this happening? I can't even play GTA IV on my pc now! I played that game on my old pc a few months ago... Now when I play the game only the player is shown and the whole background is transperant! It seems like standing on infinity!!!

Your new integrated graphics should be significantly better. Did you install the latest graphics driver for the 2nd generation Core processors? It can be downloaded from the Intel website.
Of course most discrete graphics cards are better for gaming.

I installed the graphics driver. It is upto date. I'm planning to buy a Sapphire Radeon R7 240 1GB DDR5 for my pc. Is that enough for entry level gaming and my Photoshop uses?
