Question DDR2 Questions...

I have 4x4 G.Skill DDR2 800 in an ASUS P5Q-Pro.
I just ran a benchmark from userbenchmark(.)com and it is telling me that my RAM is slow... I got 6.53GB/s on the multicore test.
With my current setup, I am limited to DDR2 and I can not find 4GB DIMMs that are faster then DDRII800...
Is there anything that I am missing here to improve my memory speed?

You can search each model by part number but I think you'll find the ship on ddr2 has sailed.

I think I remember the last time I bought RAM... (I stated with 8 and added 8 more later) that 4x2 or 4x4 kits that were faster than 800 were pretty much non existent.
Seems a shame since my MoBo can support up to 1200....
Choice between less RAM that is faster or more RAM that is slower...

XMP does not apply to DDR2, correct?

Looks like it would be pretty straightforward to find a ddr3 lga 775 board tho. even spending £50-£75 on an obsolete system + some ddr3 ram would be poor value for money considering £300-£350 would get up to the minute. Frittering odds and sods isn't really a great strategy with pcs. Be tough. And save toward the new system.
