Very few motherboards support both types of RAM, so likely only one works.
Other than that, DDR2-1066 is the same speed as DDR3-1066, so you have to look at the speed.

The answer is directly related to the motherboard as the motherboard dictates the type of RAM. What motherboard do you have?

As for sheer performance, little difference.

Its depend on your motherboard... if your mobo is ddr3 than you buy a ddr3 ram
