ddr3 1600 help

i have asus p8h61m lx3 r2.0 mobo and i5 25ook but ram only shows 666.8mhz in cpuz i ahve 2 8gb kingston 1600mhz

Not sure abou this but go to bios and change the ram settings

By default your motherboard will set your memory speed to 1333MHz. Since it is DDR3, which stands for DUAL data rate, 666.8MHz is correct. If you wish to have the memory running at 1600MHz, you will have to set this in the BIOS. Unless you're benchmarking, you're not going to notice any increase in performance though.

but when i select 1600 in bios it says overclock failed

Did you set the voltage correctly?

i am not overcloacking bro thers is just an option 1066 1333 1600 2133 i select 1600 restart thn it says this

Even if not overclocking, you still have to set the voltage for the memory correctly. These days it's usually either 1.5V or 1.65V. Check the memory or the packaging to see what voltage it needs.
