Hello,

My motherboard is listed as able to handle RAM speeds up to 2400, so I bought G.Skill Ares 2133 RAM to upgrade my current G.Skill Ripjaws 1600 sticks. However, after install my PC recognizes the RAM as 1333. I don't know where to go from here to remedy the issue.

My build:
A10-7850K
Asus A88XM-E
500w PSU

I'm installing an R9 380 and a new 750w PSU tomorrow when they arrive.

Sounds like you don't have XMP/AMP enabled. Look for a setting somewhere in the BIOS that mentions one of those two things and try turning on AMP. For me, that gives slightly tighter timings on my Patriot DDR3-2133 than XMP.

I tried to enable DOCP and check for an AMP-type setting, but it doesn't show up when I go to check the RAM profiles. Not sure if I'm skipping a step or something.
