Hi,
So my gf has this old laptop Asus x552l, after a quick check online i noticed that it runs on 4gb of ddr3l memory, i han anoher 4bg module laying around (but it is a ddr 3 one), but decided i should give it a try.
Instaled it, opened the laptop...noticed that the laptop sees all the 8gbs of ram...seemed to run ok.
But after i googled it saw some posts where other people encountered issues... like fried they're rams after a while.
Soooo, what do u think...will it be allright? or should i plug them out?

googled it and initialy (whed i writed this post) found that it os a ddr3 module (no l's)
Just googled it again to see if i can see the voltage...and got to an ebay site where the model is diaplsyed as beeing a ddr3l

If the socket is ddr3l, then you can only use ddr3l modules. But if only the module is ddr3l, those also work at ddr3 1.5v, so mixing them will just run them both at 1.5v using a little more power. If they work, they'll keep working--no worries. :)
