Hi,

I've Intel i7 4770 processor, As-rock z87 extreme 4 motherboard, 8 gb ram still I am not able to play some of the latest games like Hitman Absolution, GTA 5 etc. So I thought to upgrade my pc on GPU section. I've low budget this month but I cannot wait for the next month as I purchased both above games this month itself. So please guys help me to choose between ddr3 or ddr5 G cards. DDR3 are chip but ARE THEY COMPATIBLE WITH MY CONFIG?? this was my first and main confusion.. Please hel me on this...

Thanks

Dont mind but , it looks like you got your components on a spree, or gaming is not the only requirement. As far as the graphics card is concerned for your system anything less than a ddr5 gfx is like driving a hummer on cooking gas. I know you are constrained on budget but i strongly suggest to save money for it and buy atleast a gtx 960 or radeon r9 280x , whichever u can get a better deal on.
Also for GTA V a ddr3 gfx will run it, but on low-medium settings and population density to minimum at a 25-40 fps , while a ddr5 can take you up to max settings on full hd with a 50-80 fps .
Also for general information . for gaming requirements invest about 1.8 times the amount on gfx , compared to processor for max gains and no bottlenecking...
DDR3,DDR5 based GPU compatibility with your system doesn't matter at all. It's all compatible as long as you are using a PCI-E graphics card on a PCI-E 16X slot. What is you budget for your new GPU ??

And the z87 and z97 series are meant for overclocking , while only intel K series(i7 4770K version of your processor ) supports overclocking. Check out online system builds before buying components.
DDR 3 gfx is compatible but a very minor improvement over your integrated graphics of intel.
Also describe your budget so we can suggest a graphics card in that range.

I can spend around 10-12k on this month but as you and other guys are suggesting me I should go with DDR5 because ddr3 are seems like nothing for my requirement. So thanks guys for the quick reply and I wait for some time and will get a good one for me but as I am really very excited to play above mentioned games as soon as possible, Do I have any chance of getting a good ddr5 gpu in my current budget [10-12k] and please suggest me should I go for 2 or above gb graphics card for full hd game play [games like GTA5] or 1gb is enough?? and i do have a 450 Watt power supply...

I've 450 watt power supply and I am thinking around 10000

450w psu are usually good qualities , assuming they are corsair and zebronics etc. but it can only support nvidia gfx , or namely the 960( 120W tdp) and 970(145 W tdp ). Radeon r9 series would require PSU upgrade to 550W since they consume over 200W tdp.
And go for the 4gb version if GTA V is top priority on your list , (as well as on mine 😉 ), there is a 7 fps increase compared to 2gb versions.

this video shows the fps for gtx 960 970 and 980 with i7 similar to yours.
Get an asus gtx 960 4gb strix available for 17500k . or an gtx 970 for 25000k if your budget allows. personally 10 fps above is not worth the 8,000 , but the probability of a longer life span of smoothly playable performance might be.
slight chance of a need for PSU upgrade with 970 , but you can run it with your current one and see if it underperforms , and then upgrade.

Thanks buddy! My budget allows me to go with asus 960 4gb strix but I found the price is much higher on current market. The 2gb version is available at your price [online, dont know offline price]. Some of the links are below. Can you suggest me any online site or should I go directly to the seller shop..

The price is available in nehru place, Delhi costtocost shop . Online it is a bit higher and you might need to research a lot for the right price.

no need to bargain, no hassles.
Where do u live?
if not in NCR then buy from here with emi options . that way you can buy this month only.

edit: the vat is extra on costtocost but the last time i bought something from their store it was on the exact online price. So just give a call and confirm the final price. and the wither 3 promotion ended 1 june i think so beware of any online sites claiming of it. may not work

Thanks buddy! I lived in pune city that's why I preferred online stores, and on snapdeal 16k price is for 2 gb which u linked above. Its ok as I am already planning to go to the new delhi next month, so I'll go to nerhu place and will buy from there itself. Thanks again!
