DDR3 or DDR2

I am pondering whether to pay 4 times more for DDR3 pritty much same price of DDR2 a year ago. I am looking at getting the quad core 45nm 2.5 GHz proc next year. I am buying the system now but I am wondering on how reall world benifit in game you get.

Has anyone get any links with FPS of new games with the difference between DDR2/3.

There is next to no difference... unless you run memory benching progs...

If you were happy paying lots for DDR3 then get 2 or 3 times the amount of DDR2 it will be more beneficial

Pretty much no difference, just higher frequencies and lower voltages. I'd suggest you get DDR2.

Cool thanks I will just get 2x2GB CL4 800 MHz and clock up a bit.

OCZ and Geil i believe have good 2x2 CL4 parts

Yes they do I am going for OCz just stock level are pants at the mo.
