Ddr3 ram 6gb or 3gb?

with the new core i7 out I'm researching Ram. My first choice is the Kingston hyperx 1600 3gb (3x1gb) which I hear is really good. I've recently saw the corsair xms3 1333 6gb (3x2gb) for nearly $120. So is it better for more or faster? And what kind of difference would it make in gaming?

more likely would look into 6gb OCZ Platinums. Shown some pretty good results and OCZ has always been good quality.

Corsair is excellent, as is OCZ. Definitely go for 6GB (and make sure you use a 64 bit OS), as quantity of RAM is almost always more important than speed.

Yeah I've also noticed that for the price the cas latency is lower on the oczs but I'll have to keep checking around

i looked those up and it has a cas of 8. timing in all is 8-8-8-24. I hear corsair is good but i hear for the price there is better

32 bit OS - 3GB because of address space limitations.

64 bit OS - 6GB because More Is Better. <grin>

Still choose ocz, for the price and and grade it is, its a really nice set, you look at corsair, your looking about 180+ for 6(3x2gb)

yeah and kingston is like over $200, but I'll definately look for 6gb kits instead just because I'm planning on the beneifits if 64 bit processing. And ozc sounds like a good deal
