DDR3 Ram Expansion Compatibility

Hello

I'm Expanding my RAM from 8gb to 16gb but im having trouble finding 2x4gb dimm sticks to match the ram i already have.

So i need some advice,i've found 2 RAM sticks that i think are compatible but i would really appreciate it if someone could confirm if i'm correct or not.

Ram i already have:
Team Group Inc
2x4gb DDR3 1600
CL-11-11-1128 1.5v
TED34GM 1600 hc 11 bk
S/N 5130422015
Elite Team

Ram im thinking of buying:
Team Group TED38GM1600HC11DC01 - TeamGroup Elite Black 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C11 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (TED38GM1600HC11DC01)

Its always recommended to use factory paired sticks on builds. And if you're upgrading, the best bet is to replace the existing pair and get a new one with the desired total capacity. But if that's not feasable, it'd be best to get an exactly identical pair of sticks as you currently have.

I see your current sticks are 34GM models and the one you wish to buy are 38GM. The CL, MHz, timings, etc are same but the different model numbers are pressing me to not recommend getting them, and instead getting a whole new set of 16GB RAM.

If not the worst, badly matched sticks can have really weird issues, and its never recommended. If you're planning to upgrade for gaming purpose, then I'd say wait, as there's no real need to upgrade for a...
