Recently I have bought 2 Patriot strips 8gb making a total of 16gb (model PV316G186C0K) both rated 1.5v.
I bought these for my GA-990FXA-UD3 (ver 1.0) I did first check with parts picker and this Ram was approved for my MB and version but when I install,
it reads as 1600mhz/ 9-9-9-24 (This is the timing the system and various testers read see attachments)
and not as 1866mhz/ 10-11-10-24 in the BIOS (see attachments) its reading as 9-9-9-30 almost all the settings there are set to auto so I was wondering is there any way I could get it to read the correct values?
There is no other memory installed so there is no conflict there and I have them installed in slot 1 and slot 3.

Is there anyone here than can please shed some light on this situation.

Thank you.

Hugh

Make sure RAM is installed either on sockets 2nd and 4th or 1st and 3rd (counting from the CPU).
Did you select the X.M.P. profile under the M.I.T.\Advanced Frequency Settings menu in the BIOS?
