I mean like with the corsair spec-2 why does it have system memory type? ddr3? Isn't that decided by the motherboard not the case? that is what i mean sorry

It is decided by the motherboard. However, since this is talking about just a case, where did you get this info? It may just be a misinformed typo.

...and the OS isn't determined by the case, either. Vendor screw-up.
