Hi all,

I am using 2x1gb kingston ddr3 1333mhz dims (not hyperx standart value ram) on a system with mobo Asus P5E3 and Q9400 which i am try to get it to 3.6Ghz with 450x8.

Since there is so much info about ddr2's when it comes to overclocking I couldn't able to find much about ddr3 and I don't understand why..

Anyone here using ddr3 ram and into oc'ing ? Or anyone has any idea what my settings should be in bios about rams (timing, voltage etc) ?

Thanks,

Your RAM settings should be the standard settings, since they are value modules. Run CPU-Z and look under the SPD tab.

Well they are like below...But when I oc should these values be the same ? Or since my rams are value ram I dont have a chance to change settings (timings, voltages etc) for my rams ? If I can what do u think are the stable values ?

Frequency 444Mhz 593Mhz 667Mhz

CAS# Latency 6.0 8.0 9.0

RAS# To CAS# 6 9 10

RAS# Precharge 6 9 10

tRAS 16 22 25

tRC 22 30 34

Voltage 1.5V 1.5V 1.5V

Thanks,

Thanks to tomshardware they are all http://www.tomshardware.com/review [...] 54-13.html here

But in this article same rams as mine kingston 1333mhz only difference is it says those are 10700G mine are 10700H and detected timings for the ram in this article are like 8-8-8-24 I guess mine is 9-9-9-24...

And still confused about for ex. when going for 450x8 3.6Ghz which timings would be more suitable ? 416, 500, 583 or 667 ? Whats the criteria to make it easier to decide ?
