I built a PC with the following configuration: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Wxgw4q

Key points: core i9-9900K, Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Master, 2x16GB DDR4-3600 RAM from Kingston.

When I boot my PC, without making any special BIOS changes, it shows DDR-2400.

If I manually change the BIOS setting from "Auto" to DDR-3600, the PC won't boot to Windows, it eventually comes back to BIOS with a complaint.

Question: How to I get my rig up to 3600MhZ on the RAM?

Solution
i9-9900K
Supported memory speed is 2666MHz. Try profile #2 with 3000MHz or manually input slower memory clock speed, DRAM timings, and DRAM voltage.

You may need to overclock the CPU to run at 3600MHz. I didn't think running at that speed made much difference in performance over some of the slower speeds 3000, 3200.
