DDR3L ram in DDR3 slot mixed with another DDR3L Ram already installed

I own Sony VAIO laptop SVE15136CN and I am thinking of upgrading my ram. There are two slots with 1.5V engraved on them. The chipset is Ivy Bridge HM76.

The one that came pre installed by manufacturer is 4GB DDR3L 12800S. The laptop can only be upgraded upto 8GB.

My question is which RAM should I install in other slot for best performance? DDR3 or DDR3L?

DDR3 and DDR3L work on different voltages, so usually you can't mix them in single machine. So, if you have DDR3L already installed, you have too add DDR3L too, otherwise you risk they won't work together.
