Hello all,

building my new pc. i7 6700k on z170 chipset and looking for ram. Have two options for the same price at the moment. One is Kingston XMP HyperX Savage 2400mhz cl12 and second is Crucial Ballistix Elite 3000mhz 16cl.

I have heard that skylake takes more advantage of frequency rate rather than latensy. Is it true? What would you suggest between these two?

Solution
Go for the Bandwidth and the 3000 sticks, it will easily overcome the tighter timings og the 2400 sticks, can often find 3000/3200 near same price with tighter CLs of 14 and 15 also
