DDR4 3000 mhz on a B360M Motherboard?

So i'm going to buy a I7 8700 and a B360M motherboard with DDR4 3000MHz Ram but the Mobo says the max Ram supported speed is 2666MHz. It does have a Intel XMP profile option so could I use a DDR4 3000MHz in this mobo?

And will the motherboard allow the ram to reach full speed of 3000MHz?

No, you would need a Z370 mobo to run memory speeds faster than 2666mhz. A kit advertised at 3000mhz should work fine on that board however it will be limited to 2666mhz.
