DDR4 3000mhz locked 6700 compatible?

Hi I have a intel 6700 cpu. As I know it's a locked cpu. Can it support 3000mhz ram? I am using z170A gaming m5 board.

It's not the CPU, it's the MB that support ram clocks and lateness.
Your MB supports upt to 3600

I have read in Google some forum saying about cpu also affects how much the ram can run besides the board. As far as I know 6700k has no problem with it but mine is 6700 might have limitations?
