Hello Guys, I need some help. Here are my specs:

  • ASUS PRIME-B450M
    AMD Ryzen 3 1300X
    G.Skill DDR4-3000Mhz 8GB Ram (1 Stick) : F4-3000C16S-8GVRB
    Corsair RM-550 PSU
    ASUS Strix 960 GTX Graphics
    Antec NX200 Cabinet

So basically I'm trying to get my RAM run to full speed (3000Mhz). But when I save BIOS settings, it keeps restarting, and after 2 times, gives me F1 defaults option, So the RAM is back to 2133Mhz. I tried activating D.O.C.P profile (3000Mhz) as well, didn't work. Then I put all settings on "Auto" and set Ram speed 3000Mhz. Nothing works.

The only highest speed I can go is 2666Mhz with this RAM, anything above crashes. Right now I'm running with 2666MHz speed and 16-18-18-38-56 timings. Voltage and other settings: Auto.

Please help or advice on how to get my RAM running to 3000Mhz, if possible, or what is wrong.

Thank You! :)

Make sure you're on the latest BIOS update for your motherboard, then manually input the frequency, timings and voltage(per the sticker on the ram) into BIOS. I wouldn't advise you do that on one stick of ram. You should ideally be on a dual channel kit to bring the most out of your Ryzen platform.
