DDR4 3200 CL14 Vs. DDR4 3400 CL16

I am planning my next build with this motherboard: GA-Z170-HD3
I am looking at RAM latency vs clock speed and I believe that the DDR4 3200 CL14 is faster than DDR4 3400 CL16.
Is this correct?

You are correct, according to my calculations 3200MHz with CL14 will respond in 8.75ns while the 3400 CL16 will respond in 9.41ns so the 3200MHz kit will provide quicker response.

Yes, that's the better with the 3200/14 and should be able to run them at 3400 with a CL of 15 which is better than the 3400/16 spec of the other set (are you looking at the new GSkill sets? The Tri Z and RJ V are both great lines of sticks 😉 )
