DDR4 Corsair Ram Not Displaying 3000mhz on CPU-Z

Hi I have purchased the Following Memory Card:

CORSAIR Vengeance® LPX 16GB (1x16GB) DDR4 DRAM 3000MHz

but when i am using CPU-Z software it is Displaying the following:

DDR4-2132(1066 MHz)

It never shows correct. My 1600mhz displays as 673,9Mhz. Don't know what the problem is but it's like that for everyone.

That can't be right.... Could you provide a screen shot of what you're seeing in CPU-Z? It SHOULD show the correct memory speed assuming you have xmp enabled.

1600 should display at 800 , 3000 should display at 1500.

Do you have a k CPU and a Z series board?

XMP set in BIOS?

Based on the pictures you provided the memory is running correctly. You have to remember that it's double the data rate so that means whatever the value is times 2. Which means that 1500 x 2= 3000 just as SR-71 implied in the previous post.

Just did that and it started showing the original speed now with the following command at command Prompt:

wmic memorychip get speed

C:\Users\Gautham Reddy>wmic memorychip get speed
Speed
3000

Isn't there a simple software that shows the total bus speed in a plain and simple way?

I do have a X79 Mobo and a i7 3820.

I can check XMP later.

USE CPUZ.

Open Task Manager > Click performance >

Click Memory. Here you will find total

installed ram and their bus speed.

or at Command Prompt type the following

C:\>wmic MEMORYCHIP get >data.txt
C:\>start data.txt
