DDR4 for Devils canyon

I have not built a PC in awhile and I'm not up to date on all the stuff out there. I would like to get DDR4 ram with an i7 cpu, but I can not find any i7 cpu that supports DDR4. Does devils canyon support DDR4? Thank you.

Haswell E does, but not the other Haswells.

Devils canyon, Haswell refresh, and haswell do NOT support DDR4. Basically, they are too old to support it.

Haswell-E on the other hand is newer, which is why it can support DDR4.

The memory controller on the devils canyon chips is only for ddr3 type memory. As it is part of the cpu itself there is no way around this.

Ok, thanks for the info. I'll check out the Haswell E version. I would really like to get a skylake i7, but Newegg only has the i5 aviable right now.
