Question DDR4 high speed sticks: still available and for cheap

If pcpartpicker is any indication DDR4 sticks of 32GiB at greater than 4100Mhz. are really cheap now.

Gskill tridentz 32GB DDR4-4800 2x16GB is going for $113 on memoryc.com.

Memory manufacturers aren't actually making anymore DDR4 modules are they?

The sweet spot for Intel DDR4 platforms were at DDR4-3200MHz and DDR4-3600MHz with tight latencies an without adding too much stress on the integrated memory controller. If you're looking at AM4 Ryzen platforms, then the most you can go is DDR4-3600MHz with the addition that you can get to tight latencies before you don't see any more performance gains.

DDR5 is the route to take.
