DDR4 Timings resets itself

Hi,

I've build a pc like a week ago (my second one) and it is working perfectly now. but I have 1 question. I can overclock my ram easily from 2666mhz to 3200mhz. And it is stable at 1.3 voltage but if I try to tighten my ram timings, my ram speed resets itself to 2666mhz. Is there any reason why is this and can I avoid my pc resetting my ram speeds when lowering ram timings?

Pc parts:
ryzen 2600 (No X !!)
Asrock A320M
MSI Gtx 1060 3gb Gaming X
2x4 DDR4 crucial ballisticX ram 2666mhz
Corsair 550w PSU
Using stock CPU cooler
120gb ssd
240gb ssd

You can't overclock on A320. Are you sure it's actually running at 3200 while in windows?

Yes I am sure that my ram is running at 3200mhz (I confirmed it with CPUZ). In fact, a320M supports RAM overclocking. I think that you are referring to cpu overclocking. In that case you’re right. But I was aware of that before I bought my mobo.
