Question DDR5 not running at full 6000mhz ?

i bought a new PC

System Manufacturer: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd.
System Model: X670 AORUS ELITE AX
BIOS: F6c (type: UEFI)

and

Corsair 32 GB KIT DDR5 6000 MHz CL36 Vengeance Grey für AMD

the ram currently runs with 4800 mhz the bios said.

3d benchmark shows it with 3500 mhz

what is the problem?

In your BIOS, have you selected the XMP profile to allow the higher speed to be set?

I got back to BIOS

XMP/EXPO was off.

I turned on XMP and saved restarted.

Windows loaded up.

To recheck if the ram is correct i restarted windows and loaded up the bios.

RAM Status showed 4800 MHZ
XMP showed the correct DDR5 EXPO 1 6000 CL36 RAM

i exited without saving.

Windows not restarted and loaded up the recovery Screen.

I restarted again and loaded up bios to turn xmp off again - after that it took my a few restarts/resets (around 15) to had the PC load up even the bios- very weired.

3d bench shows : 4x 16,384 MB Corsair @ 5,990 MHz

but bios still 4800 with XMP is off - hmmz

your mainboard ram compatibility shows 6666MHz as highest for one or two modules, four modules tops out at 4800MHz

so 4800MHz with four memory modules is correct speed for your mainboard

So that i get such error if i turn EXPO on @ bios is based on the restriction for 4 Dimms that cant handle 6000 with 4 slots ?
Is it correct to let EXPO off with 4 Slots?

enable expo, reduce ram clock, that should give you atleast lower timings

I was installing the latest BIOS F20a today - https://www.gigabyte.com/us/Motherboard/X670-AORUS-ELITE-AX-rev-10-12/support#support-dl-bios
this was fixing the issue. I`ve let the RAMs running on Default setting without EXPO the last Year.

This problem is solved now. All 4 Sticks run on EXPO 6000 (3000mhz) as supposed now.
Also low Latency and high bandwide option is enabled without any issue.
