Has any one played this yet? The architecture is perfect and you can
see all the careful, precise planning that went into making it. It
takes place at the Morningstar hotel where the terrorist must bomb one
of two sites. The first is in the basement and the other is upstairs
in a ballroom of sorts. Amazingly there are entire areas beyond the
immediate playing area that are visible from windows yet not
accessible. It works to help create the illusion that this is a real
hotel and there's a real city beyond. One window even views down onto
a beautiful swimming pool with a small garden off to the side and a
vending machine against one of the walls. Oh and the 'classy' music
playing at the T spawn in the restraunt is a nice touch. It seems
that the terrorists are discussing their plan over a meal when the
counter-terrorist force arives across the compound in the lobby of the
hotel. One of the waiters likely overhead the terrorists' plotting to
bomb the hotel and called security -drat!

I think Hostage Down is hosting de_morningstar in their regular map
cycle. Check it out sometime.

I love a well made map, but that really bugs me when I can see a great
looking area to explore, yet I can't get to it because the map wants to
concentrate the playing area. Some great maps out there need a little
extension here and there imho.
