Greetings,
Yesterday i turned on my computer and everything working with the lights, fans and HDDs but nothing on the screen!
I tried all of the above:
- Tried with a working screen.
- Clear CMOS
- Tried with a working PSU.
- tried with a working RAM.
-I pulled everything (except the cpu, the heatsink fan, and the power supply plug in) I powered on, then 3 long beeps occured (the absence of the RAM). I installed a 1 stick RAM then silence.
Plz some HELP!!!

The chances for the CPU to die in a PC are usually very low. The Mobo on the other side, may have to be looked at. If you can, dissasemble the whole PC and put it back together carefuly. Chech the cables and everything. Let us know how it goes.

I put it all together carefully with a full check and still nothing

I really can't imagine it is the CPU that is broken - i think it may be the Mobo. have you got any spare motherboards you can use to test this?

If you don't - you could order a cheap one to test with or take it to a computer repair shop and ask them to run diags on it.

can the cpu stop working if it fell from my hand on a wooden table like 15 inches?

See you never mentioned that lol. Yes there's a good possibility you bent one of the pins when it hit the table. If you didn't notice any of them bent and then tried to clamp it back in, there's a good chance it's been a bit squished.

I'd suggest taking it out and checking the pins. If not - try it in a friends PC. Buy some coolant fluid first though so he can put his cooler back on.

Even if you dropped it, it would not have been affected unless the pins were touched and bent. Otherwise the CPU as a piece is pretty strong and resists to impact. I think the Mobo may have bitten the dust...

but its an i5-4440 cpu, it has no pins.
and non of my friends have a 4rth generation mobo :pfff:

how can i clean the mobo pins?
its a MSI Z87-G45 MB

yes, the entire home is not ground wired.
May it damage the computer or the cpu???
